New Year Catch-Up
Well, it's been awhile so I'm just going do to a quick re-cap of what we've done the last couple of weeks.
In my last "real" post I mentioned that we were planning on going to Salt Lake on New Year's Eve. We went up and did a little shopping, went ice skating at the Gallivan Center, went to Zoo Lights and had dinner at our favorite...Texas Roadhouse! It was such a fun, enjoyable day. Rickie didn't really enjoy the shopping all that much though. Ice skating was A LOT of fun! It wasn't what Brecken or Brigham thought it would be and they both thought it was a lot harder than it looked. There were a few falls, the hardest by Rickie, none by me! Ben was a little nervous at first because it was his first time, but caught on really fast! We need to say thanks to Grandpa Steven for planting the idea in Brigham's head. I wouldn't have ever thought of going!
Here's Glen and Brecken battling it out on Guitar Hero...Brecken won.
Brigham reeeaaallllly getting into his song. This was right after he dropped onto his knees. That would break my legs. He is so funny!
On Saturday morning, while I was exercising, I had a very strong impression that Rickie and I should go to the temple that night. I mentioned it to him and he told me that he had thought the same thing the night before. So, for the first time in two years, we went to the temple. It was a very small session and since we were the first couple (of 3) to arrive, we got to be the witness couple. Lucky us. It was very nice though. We went to dinner afterwards and it was a nice night out.
(The temple when we came out....it was soooooooooo cold. 9 degrees!)
Last night we celebrated Brigham's birthday a couple of days early. (And totally confused him.) We just thought it would be easier for everyone to come on the weekend rather than on a Tuedsay night. He's still so consumed with his DS we had a hard time getting him to come out for cake or to open presents. He got a lot of fun things from everybody and has had fun playing with them today. Thanks!

Bet you can't guess the theme of the party!

Rickie's dad, Steven, with all but one of his grandson's (we missed you Michael!) Notice...Brig can't look up for a picture because he has the DS in his hands.

We've had a good couple of weeks! We hated getting back to "real life" last week, but that just means we're on the downward slope of the school year and summer will be here before we know it!

Excuse me? I didn't biff it either. I wish we could have come to Brig's party, it looks like everyone had fun.
How fun! We haven't ever been ice skating. I've always wondered about going there though. I'm afraid I wouldn't be too good at it! It sure looks cold!
