A Rough Weekend

This is strictly for my journaling purposes...keep that in mind!

This weekend was long overdue and much needed. I finally weened Bridger. I don't know if it was worse for him or for me.
Thursday afternoon, my little brother, McKade, and I went to Salt Lake to visit my mom while she was still in the hospital, so this was the beginning of the long process.
Friday, Kade and I went back to the hospital to help my dad get things loaded in the car and to see my mom again before they headed home. We went to our favorite little market in Salt Lake and got all of us a great sandwich (well, Kade got a chili cheese dog) and we met at a park by the hospital to have lunch. Mom and Dad headed home and Kade and I made a stop at Costco and Wood Connection Furniture. I went and got Merridee and she and I went to the Scrapbook Expo while Kade and Ben hung out. The expo was pretty fun. Not as many good deals or tons of new stuff, but I like what I got and can't wait to use some of it. After I finished I went and got Kade and we stopped at South Towne mall (Gap is now closed there...,) University Mall (because its Gap is still open) and the RiverWoods. We got home about 10:30.

Rickie's Friday started by getting Brecken to school and then dealing with a sad little boy who walked around the house crying and looking for his mom. He got to play mom for the day by picking Brecken up at school, taking her to a birthday party (he forgot to wrap and take the present though) and picked girls up from gymnastics. He had a pretty needy little boy most of the day so he spent a lot of it distracting him by being outside riding bikes, working on the yard and riding the 4 wheeler.

All the kids were asleep when I got home. Shortly after Bridger woke up but he didn't try eating so I thought we had it whooped. I was getting pretty sore by now though.

Saturday, Rickie headed over the mountain to Beaver to work at the farm. Bridger woke up SCREAMING, and mad at me. He'd look at my chest and glare at me or give me a very dirty look and this went on for quite awhile. I was in dire pain and had been all night long. I told my mom that I had wished I'd had one of her pain killers in the middle of the night. (I was only about 1/2 joking though.) About 2:00 we went for a very windy walk to distract Bridger and we had lunch at the drive-in, then went to my moms. Rickie came home while we were up there and then we all came home and made dinner to take up to my mom. After dinner, Brecken, Lainee (my niece) and I got ready and then headed over to the promenade with Angie and Presley Chappell. It was a nice prom. All 3 girls were asleep by the time we got home.
By now I was hurting sooo bad that I thought I might throw up. I took my 3rd hot bath of the day and then laid with a heat pad until 2:00 am watching TV.

Today has been a much better day for both Bridger and I. He's finally understanding that he's all done and hasn't been upset with me or screaming and crying. I'm not in pain, just very careful about kids getting on my lap and things. It's been a very lazy day, but nice. It was stake conference, so we kinda took a break from church. Right now Rickie is trying to satisfy his sweet tooth by making cookies and we're waiting to see who the Trump fires! I'm glad to finally have this trial about over with and not have a baby who depends on me for that aspect of his life too.

P.S. I think we're on the tail end of sickness. Everyone is feeling much better, we just still have runny noses and some coughs, but that's so much better than what we've dealt with for a month and a half now. Yay!

That sucks I have never had the opportunity to go through that. I can tell ya later why. I would not want to go through it though. Rickie is a dork when it does not take much to entertain an old man!!! p.s. I am at home now not at work he can quit worrying
