Brecken's Birthday & Baptism

Ugh! I can't believe I have an 8 year old!!!

For Brecken's birthday we didn't have our normal big party; we thought her baptism and having a big dinner would be enough so we went to dinner and had cake and ice cream and that's about all. Brecken choose to go to Chinese...so she could have a cheese burger. She opened her presents from her grandparents and invited a friend along (all planned on the way home from gym.) She got a handmade blanket that she LOVES and a baptism book.

At home, she blew out the candles and opened her presents from Rickie and I. An iPod shuffle (that isn't here yet...long story) an iDog and a CD

Saturday was the big day and she was soooo excited she couldn't even stand it! Giddy would be the perfect description. She couldn't even think straight I don't think!

Brecken with her own personalized towel from us. She also got a CTR ring, scriptures and a scripture bag along with a TON of nice things from her friends and family.

Brecken had a ton of support at her baptism. All of her cousins, all her aunts and uncles (except one) all of her Grandmas (6 of them) and 3 of her 4 grandpas. She also had 3 great uncles, a great aunt, a great aunt to be (we think) and lots of second cousins there. She also had some of our family's good friends there, as well as the bishop and his wife, 2 of the primary presidency and a primary teacher. The support was overwhelming and very much appreciated!

It was a great day and I hope that Brecken will remember it forever and remember how important her decision was.
