30 Minutes of my Life
This afternoon I decided I needed to run a couple of errands and wanted to get them done fast so I hurried and loaded the kids (and one of my friends kids) in the car to get started. The first errand was simple, other than I was having a hard time seeing out my windshield. It rained, then the spots got all dusty...and my windshield wipers decided to break. So anyway, I ran up the the stake YW presidents house to drop off some camp money that a couple of wards finally turned in and a receipt. No problem! Well, then I needed to run to the store to get a money order and change for work and a couple of ingrediants for these really good treats that I am going to take up to my friend. So... we get to the store and I tell the kids, "Don't run around, stay right with me." Ya, right. I have a wild little boy who I don't think knows what 'don't run' means. Well, I needed peanut butter and couldn't find it ANYWHERE. I walked up and down EVERY aisle at least three times. I finally find it (with some help from one of my preschool moms) It was in a totally dumb place. So I go to pay...I didn't take my big bag with me cause it's too heavy so I had just grabbed my check book &...I was out of checks!!! So still needed the money order and change and thought I'll hurry and get that done and run home and get my bag. So , I sent the kids outside because it wasn't going to take very long, and I hear a car honking. Yes, it was the same wild little boy. I left the store and now it's raining (remember, my wipers aren't working and my windshield is already filthy) I had to stop at the gas station and use the window cleaner to make it home. I couldn't see ANYTHING! So anyway I got home, grabbed my bag, went back to the store, bought my food (and the honking continued, because I had just left my food at the counter and ran back in to pay for it.) It stopped raining and I made it home with my errands finally done! And our make-up game was cancelled, so I called my assigned families, and got the treats done to take up the street!!! It was crazy, but it's finished!
Here's the recipe for these awesome treats!!! (from one of my sisters friends)
