The Most Important Day of the Year

Yesterday was The Most Important Day of the Year according to Rickie! The opening day of the deer hunt!!! Unfortuately, for him, he didn't have a tag, although he has a highly coveted lifetime tag. Last year it seems he forgot to push submit after he filled out his survey, so...no tag this year. He did get up and go with his dad though and he was so nice and such a good dad because he let Brigham go with. He wanted to go soooo bad and cried and cried so Rickie dressed him and nice and warm and took him and my little brother, McKade. They didn't have any luck and yesterday afternoon as we were on the way up the mountain to have dinner with some of our friends Brigham all the sudden said, "The deer hunt was bull s***."


What?!!!!!

Rickie: "I didn't say that this morning. It must've been dad or Clint!" Thanks whoever it was!

It was a gorgeous day yesterday though, so not all was bad! Brecken, Bridger, my mom and grandma and I went over to Venice for one of my second cousins bridal showers and it was fun to see people and visit a little. As soon as we got home our little family headed over to Koosherm and went up the mountain to meet Glen and Angie Chappell and their kids. They made a really good dinner and we enjoyed sitting around the fire and talking. The kids loved running around and getting dirty. It was pretty nice up there too. The breeze blowing was pretty chilly, but we were all bundled up. It was fun. I'm thankful we live where we do! We're minutes from the mountains, it's so pretty and peaceful, we right between Salt Lake and St. George, we're close to all our family and we couldn't live in a better place!
