What a Day!!!
Today has been one of those days!
Rickie, the boys and I rode over to Salina this afternoon to do a few things and we had lunch at El Mexicano. Well, it was one of those meals where anything humiliating that can happen did. I was handing Bridger to Rickie over the table so he could put him in the high chair and Bridg put his foot right in the bowl of chips and flipped them over everything, then RIGHT after...Rickie elbowed his Coke and spilled it EVERYWHERE. The busing lady had us move it was that bad. Then tonight I think...Oh, I get to stay home and watch TV! Well, no that didn't happen. We went up and picked apples at my grandma's (at least none of them hit me in the head tonight) but I had leaves and sticks down my shirt and pieces of bark in my eye (it's still there) and it finally got dark enough we had to stop. We dropped a box of apples off at my friends house and as we're leaving I thought I saw some cows walking right down the middle of Main Street. Then I was like, who walks right down the middle of the road with a bunch of little kids! (I didn't have my glasses on, so I really had no idea.) Well, there were 3 cows walking down the road. Now, anybody who knows Rickie knows he can't just drive around them, so he calls dispatch and then starts trying to herd them (and he probably would've done great but and chubby boy and a tall boy without shoes were trying to help and weren't.) Finally the cops get there but they didn't know what in the crap to do and the cows keep heading south and run clear around the new assisted living place a couple of times. It was real fun, it would also have to be the busiest I've ever seen Main Street at night. There were a few near misses! Finally, the cows made their way home (and probably would've been there a lot sooner if we'd all just let them go where they had wanted to in the first place. They knew where they were going, the rest of us just didn't.) We finally got home about 8:40 and I started doing my copies and cutting for school tomarrow. I still need to get my Cricut out and cut some black eyeballs for our owls. Woohoo!
Good news though! Brecken got her 1000 packet Friday morning at SEP conference so she could work on it throughout the year...well, she finished it Sunday afternoon and took it back yesterday. Today this is what she came home wearing...

She also got a candy bar and was the first in her class to finish it. I think she actually might be the first in the whole first grade, but I'm not sure. Good job Brecken!!!!!
