Food Storage!

Rickie and I are finally getting our food storage built up. It wasn't something I ever really worried about until last fall, but it's hard because we just don't have a lot of room for a bunch of extra stuff. I've decided that doesn't really matter any more. Being able to feed my kids in an emergency is more important than having soup stacked on the floor next to my microwave (even though it will start to drive me crazy!)

A few weeks ago Rickie's Grandma and Grandpa invited us to go to a military case lot sale with them in St. George. It was this last Friday and since they'd never been they weren't sure what to expect. It turned out awesome. Everything was name brand with AMAZING prices. We got a whole bunch of things for a really good total. Our kids are loving it too. Since we haven't been able to put anything away yet, it's just sitting in the kitchen and they have loved looking at it and having some of the treats.

It was a really fun day. Rick and I ran to Target (they have the funnest Halloween stuff in their $ bin) we had lunch with the family, went to Pebbles in my Pocket, and to Tai Pan (not for as long as I would have like to though! I could've spent a few hours!) But most importantly...we made it home for kick-off!!!! South Sevier played Richfield, which is always a major game! :)

Last night, after a day of cleaning and going to a really fun little boutique with WAY cute stuff, we went over to Fillmore for one of my friends from school daughter's wedding reception. Cheryl and I met when we were taking education classes in Richfield and have stayed in touch ever since. It was a beautiful reception and the cake was GEORGEOUS!! Cheryl made it.

Today, we have been very lazy. Rickie went to church and taught his Sunday school class and the rest of us haven't done anything. We had planned on riding up the mountain to see the leaves, but like I said, we have been too lazy to do anything today.

I love good deals on food! When we lived in the duplex we had a lot of our food storage stored under each of our beds. Whatever works, right?!
How was Tai Pan? We didn't make it up that far over the weekend. I was disappointed, but I'm sure I will get over it.
By the way, we went to the scarecrow festival last year. They had the BEST caramel apples I've ever had in my entire life.
