A Day Out With Thomas
What a weekend. We are all so tired! Friday morning we got up and headed to Salt Lake and helped my sister Merridee and her husband, Ben, move into their new apartment. Actually, Rickie did most of the helping. We pulled the trailor up and while they were unloading I walked to the Wal-Mart by their house to get some stuff for Girls Camp. They didn't have what I needed (or enough of it anyway) so I was all stressed out and ended up cancelling the massage and pedicure Rickie had scheduled for Mothers Day. We went to 3 other Wal-Marts and I finally got everything I needed. It wasn't a great day, or I just wasn't in a great mood.
Saturday we headed for Heber City at 8:30 so we could get to Thomas. It was sooooo cold and windy! We had been planning this trip for months. We had planned on going with Rickie's older brother Ryan and his family and we all went, but things were so hectic and crazy that we pretty much only saw them on the train. Our kids felt kinda bad cause they'd been so excited to see their cousins. But it was okay, they thought Thomas was pretty awesome. (Rickie and I weren't quite as excited about it!) The highlight of their train ride was seeing the dead cat in the ditch. That's what they told everybody about. The highlight of my trip was going to the outlets in Park City afterward. I'd been looking forward to it forever and we got some great deals and some dang cute clothes!
The kids sitting on the train waiting to go.
Rickie, Brecken's and Brigham's "tatts"! (That's what Brecken called them, our kids have seen Wld Hogs a few too many times!)
