Kids, Kids, Kids
(this is mainly for my journaling purposes...you've been warned!)
Brecken: Loves 2nd grade and her teacher, Mrs. Marilyn Anderson. She seems to be doing fairly well, but she hates having to practice her spelling words. I think she hurries a little too much and school and she could probably get a little better scores if she slowed down. She insists she doesn't hurry. She stays very busy going to piano on Tuesday, dancing on Wed and Thursday and gymnastics on Friday. She loves being able to play with friends, but we stay busy enough it's hard to have them come over very often. She loves to read, especially Junie B. Jones and tries to stay up a little later every night so she can read more. She's also very excited to start her scrapbook class again in a couple of weeks. She's been asking about it since it ended in August. Since her birthday she has acquired a new attitude. I can't say that I like it. She's always been such a good girl (and still is) but we now have to whine over everything, bawl and be dramatic. We usually have to ask her several times to do something before she does it and it's includes the whining, bawling, whatever. Her dad and I are having a little bit of a hard time with the whole thing, but we still love her and are hoping this phase will pass very quickly.
Brigham: Brigham is a very good little boy. He loves going to his afternoon preschool with Miss Karyn and is enjoying clogging and gym. I think he'd enjoy both them even more if they weren't one right after another and he wasn't totally worn out by the end of the day. He likes Thursday when he just has school. His little (BIG) attitude is getting much better. He still has it occasionally, but gets over it very, very quickly. He admits when he lies (mostly about cleaning) but he does help out a lot and is learning to act older. His very favorite thing is to go farming. He lives for it and then talks about it all week. I am still hearing about the "cock-eyed" bull that they couldn't find when they went to load cows at Bear Valley. I've also heard another word about a bull that I won't share. He never ceases to shock me! He still remembers EVERYTHING (but his letters) and that is getting A LOT better! He just isn't as interested in the alphabet and numbers as he is people and animals and whatever else. He tell me he loves me everyday and hardly a day goes by that he doesn't hug me and talk to the baby and tell her loves her. I think he is sooo excited for her to come, but he did talk about a baby girl long before we were expecting her. I love his hugs and affection and we love him very much too!
Bridger: Bridger is still just about as sweet as ever. His smile lights up his entire face and the room he is in. He is starting to act like a 2 year old however. He likes to argue with me about things and can have quite the little attitude. He LOVES candy and eat it like there's no tomorrow. He can find it anywhere he goes. He basically loves food and most meals he'll eat more than either his brother or sister. He absolutely loves "Sissy." (Brecken) He asks about her all day long and any time we drive by the elementary he'll point and say "Sissy." Luckily, she still helps out with him pretty willingly. Brigder is really good to just go with the flow. What ever we do or wherever we haul him he just goes along with it! On one of our crazy Tuesdays (during mini drill team) he sat in his car seat for almost 3 hours while we drove circles between Monroe and Central picking up and dropping off kids and never complained about it. He loves being involved with the preschool kids and thinks he is one of them. He sings the ABC's and counts all of the time (not quite the right way, but it won't be long.) He also LOVES books and his "bankie" that we can't go ANYWHERE without. He also loves going to nursery and to visit his nursery leader who happens to live next door. He talks a lot and most words we can understand or figure out. For right now, he is the best "minder" of our kids. We can ask him to do something or get something and he'll do it right then and usually the right way. I'd love it if it stayed that way forever! He is also a very sweet little kid. I just have a really hard time picturing him being a big brother. We Love him very much and don't know what we'd do without him.
