Christmas Happenings

Christmas Sunday: Every Sunday before Christmas the kids wear their
new Sunday clothes to church. I wasn't expecting to have a baby before Christmas, so Britain didn't have a new dress. I ran into Christensen's a few days before and got her a cute little outfit instead. She and I didn't go to church anyway, so it didn't really matter! (Love how huge the bow elastic is on her and her little red eye? She woke up with an eye infection...)

Christmas Eve: Here are the kids before we went to my moms for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner.

Opening their PJ's on Christmas Eve: You can tell by the looks on all their faces they were pretty excited to start opening their gifts, even though they all knew they were pajamas!
Christmas Morning: Our kids started the day at 5:30. We all got up to see what Santa had brought and then headed back to bed for awhile! At 9:30 we went to my moms for breakfast and to open a few presents. My mom made Brecken and the other grand-daughters dolls and she had made an army man kit for Brigham and Miles. They each got a vest with all it's little pockets full of treats and things that might come in handy out in the wilderness. They also got helmets, canteens and dog tags with their names, phone numbers and their religion imprinted on them. Bridger got a chair that is just his size and ALL the kids absolutely LOVED their presents!! Our kids only had 3 presents from Rickie and I to open. We tried to cut back a little this year, but they weren't lacking any for sure! They got tons of stuff from everyone else! Santa brought Bridger a V-tech and a huge rocking horse, Brigham a Thomas the Train and BB gun, and Brecken a basketball hoop and a bear she wanted. Britain got some tiny clothes, that are still a little big, and a doll.

We had a great Christmas! We are blessed to have our family and friends, and warm house, but most importantly we're blessed to have each other. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!
